In 2017 TNO-GDN evaluated the major, siliciclastic, Cretaceous, Triassic and Permian reservoir intervals in order to provide a nationwide on- and offshore predictive map of both porosity and permeability. These maps allow screening tools to be developed for a first order estimate of geothermal potential, gas productivity and CCS storage potential.
The basis of the maps is an update of the reservoir property database which was used to populate the reservoir presence grids.
