Annual Report 2024 - Natural resources and geothermal energy in the Netherlands

The fiftieth edition of the annual report ‘Natural resources and geothermal energy in the Netherlands’ reports on the activities and results of the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons, rock salt and geothermal energy in the Netherlands. It also discusses the status and future of underground storage of substances for temporary storage (natural gas, petroleum and nitrogen) and permanent storage (salt water and CO₂). This means that all exploration, extraction and storage activities in the Netherlands on land and in the Dutch part of the North sea, which fall under the Mining Act, are reported on collectively.
